Michael Kuo   Pros: great book with excellent information

Cons: can’t find any

This book 100 Edible Mushrooms (Paperback) is excellently written by Michael Kuo who is an English teacher in Illinois, is the developer of mushroomexpert.com, a popular online resource for mushroom identification and morel hunting. This book is for anyone who wants to know about mushrooms as well as serve as a fantastic addition to any mushroomer's library. Though I am a novice when it comes to mushrooms but after going through this book I found it very easy to read and understand and the information provided in this book is thorough.

This book covers everything about mushrooms in detail and provides information on how to identify each species, where and when to find them, and how to cook them in creative and delicious recipes. The content and illustrations provided in this book are excellent as this book has at least one full-color illustration of mushrooms and some several more to aid in identifying and distinguishing look-alike and non-edible species. I would highly recommend this book as it is an indispensable book for mushroom hunters, naturalists, and cooks.
